Convicted felons finding jobs can be challenging – we all know this.  But, if you have an interest in retail work, some of the best paying retail jobs can be found through your local chamber of commerce.   While you may be inclined to look for convicted felon jobs in some of the major retail stores, the fact is that most of these locations will not hire felons.  So, when considering retail jobs, be sure to think more locally.  By contacting your local chamber of commerce, you can find employment felons in many high-end retail stores which, ultimately, will translate to higher wages.    If, when looking for jobs for ex felons, you find stores are not as likely to hire you with a criminal background, then it is socially responsible to boycott and not shop in those stores when you can not find work in the same places you patron.  In addition, when contacting your local chamber of commerce, do not provide information about your felony conviction – simply ask for a list of retail locations in your local town.  If the chamber of commerce can not readily supply this information to you, then check with your local library.  Remember, jobs for convicted felons can be found through your local retail stores, you just have to think beyond the larger chains and name brand locations.

    2. i was out with a ex friend . i took him to buy cocaine – yes we were drinking but not drunk . i got pulled over and got an ovi . i was convicted of a f5 possesion and am now going through a class to get the felony off my record i work at a local newspaper company but want to move on after this is over with my experience in the work field is i work at a silk screen printing company then worked for tru green chem lawn i’ve always pretty much held a job but i know the paper industry may be closing in the future and i would like to find a secure field i would appreciate any positive feedback
