Fellow felons, go to lawschool. Pellgrant will pay for undergrad. Student loans pay you $18K in living expences (rent,food,etc) and you still qualify for foodstamps while doing it.

Once you graduate, you can be a lawyer in many states. In those that can’t, you can still work as a paralegal under lawyers.

I did it. I had a felony and am now a lawyer. Trust me, it feels like being a Merc every day.

hello my name is roger i was convicted in1996 defending my home i got my cdl in 1990 got a perfect driving record plus a twic card i live in florida not a ex felon friendly state.

I have been laid off from my job of 10 years as a care taker of a grave yard, Evergreen Cementary in Wilder,ky. Been looking for a job since 2010 and can’t seem to find one because of my 2 felonys on my record, one of which was dropped to a misdamenor. I’m a hard worker and i have a drivers license. I’m a high school graduate from Newport High School, 1986. I’ve worked in factories, i was a mover for Two Men in a Truck for 6 years, can do just about anything and willing to learn anything new. As you can see i have a good work history, but now i can’t find a job even cutting grass at a cemetary due to my record……….Please give me a chance, you won’t be disappointed……

and try to get jobs at grocery stores.i have a dismissed felony from.1993.sealed.charges dropped.hospitals,day cares,can still find it.so…………..

Time has been done since 2005. Been unemployed since 2008. Can’t seem to find a job to save my life or keep my family above water. Economy is hell, but I know there are jobs out there. I understand the background check thing but come on employers…give some of us low risk non violent ex-felons a fricken break. We need that small opportunity to stay out of trouble. I’d rather work than have to think about the illegal ways to make that fast cash. So COME ON EMPLOYERS… GIVE US EX-FELONS A DAMN BREAK WILL YA!!! ???
