While you may be inclined to look for convicted felon jobs in some of the major retail stores, the fact is that most of these locations will not hire felons. By contacting your local chamber of commerce, you can find employment felons in many high-end retail stores which, ultimately, will translate to higher wages. If, when looking for jobs for ex felons, you find stores are not as likely to hire you with a criminal background, then it is socially responsible to boycott and not shop in those stores when you can not find work in the same places you patron. If the chamber of commerce can not readily supply this information to you, then check with your local library.
